I like that these units offer concealed storage by mounting inside a cabinet door. I personally like the stainless steel look, although it is a few dollars more than the plastic model.

Shopping for paper towel dispensers recently, I was a little bit puzzled at the pricing of most of these type of items. But doing a bit of digging, reading product reviews, and just comparison shopping, I realized a lot of the pricing is justified by ease of access and durability.
Upgrading from rather simplistic dispensers myself, I overlooked the convenience of one-hand dispensing. So this would mean that the holder should be weighty enough to provide support in the absence of a second hand.
This holder is constructed in a stainless steel, sure to blend well with the stainless steel fixtures and appliances popular in many of today’s updated kitchens. This holder has a pop-off knob for quick loading of paper towel rolls.
simplehuman Quick Load Paper Towel Holder, Black
This holder, also in a stainless steel construction, boasts of easy tear dispensing and is slightly cheaper than the simplehuman holder. Some of the reviewers seemed to have issues with lasting quality, so the same design that allows for easy tearing might pose a problem later on.

Here is a holder with a more natural feel as it is constructed in oak and features a weighty base for easy tearing as well. This holder is significantly cheaper than the stainless steel counterparts.

Here is a mount solution for those looking for a more natural look as it is constructed in an Asian hardwood. This item’s image seems to suggest that it mounts horizontally and possibly as an under-mount to a cabinet. However, the reviewers seem to have found issue with horizontal mounting and seem to recommend a vertical orientation, which I thought was a little unusual for hanging paper towels. But, I thought I would include it as the vertical mounting is unique for this sort of item.
