This piece is relatively expensive for a laundry hamper, but I think since it provides additional miscellaneous storage and looks so attractive as a stand-alone furniture item itself makes the price somewhat worth it. I really like these cabinet-style hamper solutions with tilt-out laundry storage.
Multi-Use Storage Hamper
Here is a slightly simpler hamper that is equally chic with a faux-leather feel. It seems quite roomy, though the reviews do seem to indicate that it might be a bit low to the ground at a 23″ height.
Stanford Hamper – Mahogany Vinyl Hamper
This hamper has a sort of beachy feel with its basketweave construction. I think the faux leather trim is a nice accent and gives it a sort of polished look in contrast to the natural materials that compose most of the hamper.
Collapsible Hamper with Lid – Havana Mat by Neatnix
Here is a pretty innovative hamper solution for those tight spaces with maybe only a corner to spare. I don’t suppose it would hold a ton of laundry, but I’m sure it could possibly hold half of or a whole load at least.

I like the look of these laundry hampers as I think even storage items can and probably should be decently attractive too. For versatility, they come in three different sizes in multiple colors. Some of the colors are not quite my taste, but I do like the look of the black and natural choices.

I found this shoe cabinet with pull-out storage. It seems to be more suited for the ladies as it doesn’t accomodate larger mens’ shoes, however. I liked that it looks more like a piece of furniture than an actual storage unit, so it combines a bit of form and function. I like the choice of the three finishes, although black seems to be out of stock. I’m not crazy about the handles, but I am sure those could easily be replaced with different hardware to make it look a little more modern.

I’m sure most people could benefit from added closet storage space, but might not necessarily have the room nor financial capablity to create additional capacity. I like these affordable solutions that might yield more room by utilizing typical, wasted space in most closets.
This divider won’t really create extra space, but would certainly tidy up clothes stacks.

Most of the reviewers of these racks have warned about keeping close attention to the measurements of the unit as it does not seem to accomodate smaller closet doors. If you’re like me and would utilize it in a non-closet space/door (garage door) or have a pretty wide closet door these would be a good shoe storage solution. I like that it would free up floor space and don’t look as bad as some door-mounts can be. Additionally, these seem to include hardware to actually mount to the door so it would be sturdier than something that simply hooks to a door with no real mounted support.

I like the extra small hook storage at the bottom of this 12-pair rack. I probably would not store handbags in this way as it would put much stress on the handle, but I think it would be suitable to hang hats, and other lighter items.
